Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH develops and manufactures landing gear and flight control systems, also utilizing the additive manufacturing process laser powder bed fusion (PBF-LB/M). The presentation provides insights into AM-compliant development, certification, as well as the associated challenges and future potentials for Liebherr-Aerospace. Practical examples will illustrate the introduction of an additively manufactured hydraulic component, starting from the prerequisites for selecting additive manufacturing as a production method to aviation certification.
