With sophisticated topology and NX Additive Manufacturing for cycle time optimisation

This article shows how additive manufacturing with the end-to-end digital process chain in Siemens NX can solve complex industrial tasks and provide answers to specific challenges. These go beyond simply solving the problem, for example by creating the possibility of integrating additional functions that would not be possible with conventional production processes.
Within the fully mapped development process of a complex robot gripper, the ecosystem among the partners was optimally utilised. We used our process expertise and Siemens NX to set up the digital process chain and create the framework. With the help of the extensive possibilities of the Siemens software suite, all project participants were able to work together easily and collaboratively and seamlessly track the changes to the robot gripper.
