Science in Focus: Review of the Scientific Sessions at rapid.tech 3D 2025
With its tenth scientific session, rapid.tech 3D 2025 offered exciting insights into the latest research findings in additive manufacturing. All accepted papers are now available as open access articles in renowned journals.
The rapid.tech 3D Confress in Erfurt has been one of the leading platforms for the exchange of ideas and information on additive manufacturing technologies for years. From May 13 to 15, 2025, the event entered its 21st year – and, in addition to a practice-oriented congress program, once again offered an exciting scientific session. Particularly gratifying: in 2025, the scientific presentations celebrated their tenth anniversary as an integral part of the congress.
Science at its highest level
All scientific contributions submitted to rapid.tech 3D 2025 underwent a rigorous double-blind review process. Renowned experts from the rapid.tech 3D Scientific Review Committee carefully examined the papers for innovative content, scientific quality, and relevance to additive manufacturing.
The goal: to make new findings, innovations, and scientific advances along the entire additive manufacturing process chain accessible to a broad professional audience.
Publication in renowned journals
After the review process was completed, the accepted papers were assigned to the two rapid.tech 3D partner journals by the Joint Editorial Board:

All articles are available in open access and thus freely accessible to interested experts.
The best on stage
Particularly exciting: The eight most innovative contributions received one of the presentation slots in the congress program. But even the scientific papers that didn't make it into the presentation program didn't go empty-handed: They had the opportunity to present their results on A1 posters during the Scientific Poster Session.
